When She Knew is committed to providing and maintaining an environment in which everyone is safe and respected, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, physical appearance, disability, or religion. This is part of our commitment to anti-racist and anti-sexist values, and to fostering an inclusive environment. We believe diversity is strength.
We think you’ll find the When She Knew community one of the nicest places on the internet—a rare oasis where we can engage in spirited debate and learn from each other, even when we disagree.
We count on all of you to help us keep it that way, with the following guidelines in mind.
- Be kind to each other. We welcome differences of opinion. But choose your words carefully, be considerate of others, and keep the conversation in the realm of respectful debate and constructive criticism. Or just kudos, pats-on-the-back, and helpful suggestions—we love those.
- Our comments policy is pretty simple, whether on the site or our social media: If a comments thread starts to devolve from respectful critique and difference of opinion into name-calling or aggression, someone from the When She Knew team will remind the commenters that this isn’t acceptable behavior, and ask for a change in tone.
- If a comment thread veers into hate speech, threats, harassment, abuse, or offensive personal statements, we reserve the right to act as we see fit. This includes removing any offensive comment—with or without warning—and banning users who have made such comments.
- We also want our product reviews to be fair, relevant and trustworthy: We reserve the right to hide a review if it contains offensive language, if it doesn’t pertain to the specific product, or if the customer hasn’t received the product yet.
If you have concerns about something you see on the site—whether in a comment or within our own content—please let us know by emailing [email protected].
